Valentines Day!

Every morning Todd goes in his office and reads his scriptures. So last night I left a little surprise on the desk. It was a small puzzle he had to put together that had the words on it "Todd, will you be my valentine? If yes, then look up. Love, Kailee". Then I put a card on the ceiling with a little poem that led him to a few small presents.

Our actual valentines day was spent out on the road in Cincinnati Ohio. Since we celebrated early, I wasn't expecting anything. In fact I didn't even remember what day it was. At 9 am Todd ordered me breakfast in bed at our hotel. Me, being the clueless person that I am, proceeded to tell him, "You go ahead and eat it, I will eat when I wake up (clearly I didn't realize it was valentines day yet). After our afternoon session at work, he brought me a bouquet of deliciousness. I have never loved flowers but I love food so it was perfect for me. Chocolate covered strawberries, pineapples that looked like flowers, and grapes. That's when it hit me. Oh gosh, breakfast in bed this morning wasn't random, it was a surprise for valentines day. I felt horrible!!

Todd got me a 50 minute facial and massage at align spa in park city. We had an absolutely wonderful day. I feel a little spoiled!! He is the sweetest.

Recent Memorable Moments at Work :)

Todd & I have the best job in the world. Especially for newlyweds. We travel everywhere together and we LOVE our team. They are like family and such good people. Recently we went to Texas, New Mexico, Ohio, Florida, and Oregon. Here are some funny events that took place the past couple weeks.

My broken bag. I swore I would never buy a new one. Until Anders & Todd decided to duct tape it shut.

In Honor of Wod! Temple & Los Hermanos!

This past weekend was very special. Weston got to go through the temple in preparation for his mission. It was such an amazing experience. I got to stand with him in the circle and the love I felt for him and my family was unbelievable. There is not a better place on earth to be with them. He has set an example to me that is different than any other. Its normal when your older siblings set good examples for you. But when its your little brother it makes you extra happy. Best moments from today that I never want to forget: Excuse me, for some reason "I" get to go to the front of the line, and is my veil on correctly? Lol. Love my sisters. Afterwards we went to Los Hermanos with everyone. A good ending to a great day!!

Its Going to Sting a Little

Todd and I both got lasik today and I finally saw his true pain tolerance. First off, I don't know why he insists on smiling like that in both of the above pictures. That first pictures is 2 weeks before the surgery. We had to wear glasses and his were broken....look closer:) Hahaha!!! When we first got home his parents dropped us off and got us tucked into bed. I was eating saltine crackers and smiling and he was whining and saying it hurt to lay down. And that is just the beginning of it! Here is a little summary of our night...

6-10 PM- Keep eyes closed, trying to sleep but not really working.
10-11 PM- I'm starving and cooking oatmeal, Todd is still laying in bed saying it hurts too bad to open his
eyes because they water and water and water.
11 PM-12 AM- I am laying in bed using my phone for facebook. Todd is pacing at the end of the bed. What are you doing? His response....I'm pacing and singing so that I don't think about the pain.
12-1 AM- Time for eyedrops. I noticed that the first one kinda made our eyes sting. I said a small ouch and warned Todd. All the sudden I hear this OOOOOUUUUCCCHHHH!! Yep, that is my manly husband putting in his eyedrops.
1-2AM- Since we had already been sleeping for a while, we decided to play battle of the sexes.
8 AM- Perfect Vision. It was all worth it!!!

Back to Work....Kinda :)

After way too long of a Christmas break, we are back to work (you wouldn't think that from the pictures). Our first location? Florida!! :) We really got lucky on that one. It was a stressful week because we just started with a new company. I am learning to sell and Todd is learning a new presentation. We tried to enjoy ourselves as much as we could though. It's nice having Todd to lean on at all times. I love him soo stinken much.

For some reason we have really bad luck with having good weather in Florida. Last time when we were in Miami it was incredibly windy and raining. Last time we were in Orlando it poured rain on as at Disney World. And today, well the sun was constantly behind a huge cloud. Needless to say, we didn't stay long. We got all prepped up, drove an hour, bought towels/sunglasses/sunscreen, but we didn't bother paying attention to the fact that it really wasn't even that warm outside. Oh well I can't complain because it's snowing in Utah!!

We found this life size chess game at the hotel we stayed at in Orlando. Neither of us really knew how to play but I fell in love with how cool it was.

Todd and I have one massive bond: we both LOVE food. We usually don't branch out much, but during my first trip to Orlando my sister Kristina forced me to a cuban restaurant called Cuba Libre. Oh. My. Gosh. Most amazing food ever. They have mango butter that is so good we literally lick it off the knife. My favorite are the maduros, fried plantains dipped in sugar. The picture is of the main dish we love. Its called Lechon Asado. Mmmmmmmm!!!! Shredded pork marinaded in an orange mojo sauce, with smashed yucca and black bean broth...I know it sounds odd, but its amazing. If I can ever learn to cook, this will be in my recipe book for sure.

Horse? Yes Please.

Last week a close friend of mine needed an extra for a shoot. It was freezing and I wasn't really sold on the idea until she said a horse was involved. If only I could live on a farm :( He was so sweet!!
