I Love These Guys!!

Today I miss my family like crazy!!!. I have the most amazing parents anyone could every ask for. My whole family actually is the best of any. So today I just want to write the first thing that comes to mind about each one!

My Mom-I would probably not survive life with out my mother. We text literally everyday. She is the only one that still puts up with the fact that I'm a hypochondriac. Or so she thinks. She is one of the strongest ladies I know and I have a lot of respect for her.One of my favorite things about her is sometimes she just says really retarded things. In fact, we actually started a moms quote board on facebook--if you weren't present, it probably wont be funny, but you can click on the link if you want to see it!!

Mom's Quote Board

My Dad- My dad is the most patient and wise man on the planet. He is truly one of the most amazing people I know. I have never in my life heard him yell and he is so kind and generous to the people around him. One of my favorite things about him is the fact that he is an engineer...great with numbers but he spells like his father did...not very good!!
"I have never said the word "N-I-P-P-L"....Uuuuuh???
"Dads answer is poop spelled like soup....poup".
He spells my name "Kaylee" every year on my Christmas presents :)

Hollie-She is obsessed with bugs and the anatomy of the human body. In fact she has already volunteered herself to be a cadaver when she dies. I remember when we would visit her at college she would make Nichole and I got hunt bugs with her every night at BYU. Be careful opening her fridge because you are also likely to find huge frozen bugs. She's is incredibly smart and knows more about human anatomy than any one I know. Ask her anything about your body and she will answer with something you likely wont understand.

Kristina- One of the most interesting people in the world. Intelligent. Rich. Feminist. Lawyer. Good combination. I think so I often think Teendog is making jokes and then I realize she is dead serious. So i get a good laugh. Don't bother arguing because you will lose. Every time. Hence why she is a lawyer now. She is unlike any other women. She doesn't even know how to put on makeup! And although its frustrating that she logically reasons out why you should side with her on everything, its quite humorous as well.

Alisa- Her personality is exactly the same as mine. We both LOVE food...so sometimes we call each other Norma and Dorris. My favorite memories are when we shared a room together "door, light" and the summers we worked together, eating nothing, working out twice a day, and we still didn't lose a pound. Because we have similar personalities, when we are together we quite often do the Leavitt laugh embarrassingly loud!

Derek-My brother just graduated from Oxford. He is literally a computer genius. As I have gotten closer to him I have noticed he is a lot like my dad now. Very patient and loving to his family. Definitely has a strong head on him, but he doesn't like contention in the family. He has a personality that makes you laugh and wonder how he thinks of the things he does. He is incredibly creative and amazing on the piano.

Nichole- Although we are quite opposite in personality, Pickle was my best friend growing up. She still is to this day. We are barely a year and a half apart.  Best memories--skateboarding down the sidewalk in a laundry basket, taking turns riding up the driveway in the green trash can, watching power rangers and her ripping her costume, the fact that we dominated every sport together. . I couldn't have asked for a better sister to grow up with.

Weston-Weston has a personality that makes you want to be around him. He says the most odd things and does even weirder things.  I love taking pictures with him because he has some of the most unique faces I have ever seen. I don't know if he has actually ever taken a normal picture. He's also incredibly smart and a computer genius. I love his outgoing personality and his ability to make people laugh just by being himself.

Kara- Kara is one of the wittiest people I know. Especially for her age. She has an amazing comeback to everything. Lately, my favorite thing about her is how much she seems to love her sisters. I love when she texts me and I'm very protective of her. She is a huge goof and loves to send freaky pictures of herself to everyone. She brags about the fact that she doesn't have to use a distortion app on her phone in order to make them so creepy.

I told you, my family is the most amazing of any. I love them!!!

Jon Schmidt Concert

Todd and I went to the Jon Schmidt concert last night at the Thanksgiving Point amphitheater. We both love piano music. This seemed like the first summer activity of the year....and sadly, summer is about over. That's what happens when you get married over the summer :) But the concert was incredible!

Jon Schmidt is an American pianist who describes his style as "New Age Classical". I describe it as pure amazing. Here is a video of his waterfall song. It was one of our favorites.

Ummm, What the Heck is going on in this Town??

Ok so honestly this was the most insane week I have ever seen. Tucson Arizona is absolutely nuts. First of all, when we first got to our car rental place the man starts telling us they are limited on cars because a hail storm had recently damaged all their cars. Apparently, they had a massive windstorm with hail the size of golf balls. Anyways, as we go through out the week it just gets worse. Between the lady who fell out of her wheelchair but still came into the workshop with a bleeding head, the fact that our ballroom got flooded out by the rain, the massive jeep roll over we witnessed, Elvis himself attending our workshop, or the Asian that drove straight into a boulder and got high centered, I don't know what to think about this place!!!

Tacos!!

Todd's parents were out of town on Sunday, which means the fancy Sunday dinner was left to no other but ME!!!  For those of you who know me, you should know I don't know how to cook...at all. So we went with something simple. Tacos. I have to brag because as you can tell, Todd loved them!!
